Lindsay Lohan Claps Back at Paris Hilton’s ‘Beyond Lame’ Shade in the Sweetest Way
When Paris Hilton goes low, Lindsay Lohan goes high! The frenemies have been involved in a nasty feud for more than a decade, and they’ve constantly taken jabs at each other back and forth over the years. But in honor of the release of Paris’ new single, “Best Friend’s Ass,” Lindsay took to Instagram to sweetly respond to the 38-year-old’s recent shade.
“#beyond friends are true. Love @parishilton congratulations on your new song!” Lindsay, 32, wrote in the caption of a throwback photo from 2005 featuring her and Paris smiling and looking as close as best friends.
Even though it seemed like Lindsay was congratulating Paris on the release of her new song, the Mean Girls actress took a subtle dig at Paris with her hashtag, “#beyond.”
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen earlier this month, host Andy Cohen asked Paris to say three nice things about Linsday. But the “Stars Are Blind” singer was not willing to play nice and she giggled before throwing major shade. “‘Beyond,’ ‘Lame’ and ‘Embarrassing,'” Paris said.
After the episode aired, a rep for Lindsay issued a statement to Us Weekly about Hilton’s comments: “Obviously, Paris needs to feel relevant and is desperate for attention.”
Linsday and Paris were pals in the mid-00’s and would often party together with other “it girls” during the era. But they had a falling out in 2006 after a paparazzi video interview surfaced, which featured the heiress laughing after her friend, Brandon Davis, called Lindsay a “fire crotch.”
There was bad blood between them ever since, and their feud was reignited again in 2017 when Paris revealed what allegedly really happened the night that a paparazzi shot the famous picture of Paris, Lindsay and pop star Britney Spears together in a car while leaving a nightclub.
“It was just Brit and I out, and then she just, like, chased us to the car and got in,” Paris told MTV News Australia. “She wasn’t invited.”
