Siemens Gamesa will supply Finland’s largest ever wind farm helping to boost the country’s energy transition! Siemens Gamesa has signed a 455MW project with leading Swedish developer OX2. The Lestijärvi wind project will be formed of 69 SG 6.6-170 turbines, providing one of the lowest Levelized Cost of Energy in the industry. Once fully in operation, the wind farm will have an annual energy production of around 1.3 terawatt hours, equivalent to around two percent of Finland's total electricity production. This is the second deal the company has signed in Finland for its market-leading Siemens Gamesa 5.X platform, and also includes a 35-year service agreement to keep these turbines working to their maximum potential.
