Bobby Lashley has been "fired" following Monday's suspenseful RAW main event.
Lashley, 46, competed against Seth Rollins in a No. 1 Contender's Match for the US Championship. The winner would go on to challenge Austin Theory for the title at a later time.
The MMA legend submitted Rollins with a Hurt Lock, and Rollins hastily exited the ring after driving his opponent into the turnbuckle where referee Chad Patton was waiting.
While Lashley executed a thundering Spear to knock The Architect to the ground, Patton appeared to have damaged his ankle after an awkward landing.
Rollins was able to kick out at the count of two because the referee waited so long to enter the ring.
Lashley attempted a second Spear, but The Visionary intercepted him in midair and defeated him with a devastating Pedigree to secure the victory.
Bobby Lashley lost it during and after the match
After the bell, The All Mighty confronted Patton in the turnbuckle and yelled at him for his earlier sluggish count.
The referee attempted to leave, but the former Bellator star grabbed him by his shirt, shoved him back, and then continued to yell.
The four-time world champion unintentionally elbowed the additional referee who had just entered the ring and was standing behind him.
The wrestler was overheard saying that the WWE official's "hands are bound" as he hurried to the ring and appeared to be about to fine him.
However, Lashley also shoved Pearce, which enraged him and caused him to yell profanities, for which he later issued an apology on Twitter.
The 44-year-old official then yelled aggressively at Lashley that he had been sacked.
The former WWE Champion then stared in disbelief as Pearce made his way back to the platform.
Of course, this is just a plot, since WWE.com published video of Byron Saxton, a backstage interviewer, approaching Lashley, who remained silent.
