Former Emmerdale star Charley Webb has been spotted enjoying some festive fun with her kids, just days after her ex Matthew Wolfenden was snapped walking arm-in-arm with a new girlfriend.

Charley, 35, joined the cast of the ITV soap as Debbie Dingle in 2002, with Matthew landing the role of David Metcalfe in the Dales four years later. As a relationship blossomed between the pair, Matthew proposed on set in 2009, before the they eventually married nine years later.

The celebrity couple welcomed three sons into the world between 2010 and 2019, but announced they had gone their separate ways in a statement last month following weeks of speculation. Matthew appears to have moved on quickly, meanwhile, and is reportedly dating high-profile personal trainer and theatre star, Heather Scott Martin.

On Sunday (December 3) Charley appeared to put her woes to one side too though, as she took Bowie, seven, and Ace, four for a winter walk with her actress pal, Sheridan Smith and her son Billy, three. The group then attended the premiere of Channel 4 flick, Mog, in London's Leicester Square.

Confirming her split from Matthew on November 22, Charley penned on Instagram: "It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time. C x." Her ex later shared the same message on his own account, signing off with "M".

Their announcement came just days after Matthew, 43, was spotted without his wedding ring after an appearance on Channel 4's Steph's Packed Lunch. Charley had also previously been seen without her wedding band in public.

Over on Loose Women last week, Matthew detailed the family's new living arrangements in the wake of the break-up. "Charley's on tour [with the musical, Quiz]," he began. "Bless my mum and dad, I owe them a holiday after this run because they've stepped in and moved into the house.

"And they're looking after the kids, so yeah thanks, mum and dad! It's tough. And I'm a real softie with the kids as well. I just love being at home with them, to be away from them... I'm counting down the days to the weekend."

Matthew's new beau is understood to be starring in Elf the Musical as the swing/dance captain, with Matthew taking on the lead role as Buddy. Heather, a West End star who trained at the prestigious Brit Performing Arts School, has previously performed in various musicals such as Mamma Mia, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast.
