Got four of these little beauties a few days ago, absolutely loving them. They are still pretty small, so not entirely certain on ID. Leaning more towards Crenicichla lepidota though, as the suborbital markings are looking more pencil shaped than red and triangular.

Since I got them in my tanks with the lower pH their colors have really started to blossom quickly. Its amazing to be honest with you. I'll do my best to keep updating pictures of them as they progress.

These were all taken the same night I released them into the tank.

Nice shooting Jer! Are you sure they are in YOUR tank? I don't see any water spots ;)

Funny. I'll remember that.

Just a little update, all four are doing great, the aggression is starting to come out though. Growing quickly on pellets, flakes, and blood worms. :)
