Hello, relatively new to spiny eels. Had some in the past and a few months back purchased a Black Spotted Eel after some research and was hoping someone more experienced with spiny eels may be able to conform or correct the particular species of my eel.

It's about 10" give or take and eats very well on Massivore, mysis shrimp and the occasional tubifex worms.

Thanks in advance.

I agree. I've owned two. "Smaller version" of the fire-eel with a different color. Can really look brilliant once settled in with the gold and black spots. I loved mine, never got it to take pellets though, great job getting that transition done :)

Enjoy and good luck
