We Raided 5 of the Chicest Celebrity Closets of All Time

If our It-girl home tours have taught us anything, it's that personal style is key to creating a hip abode. Two other life-changing lessons we've gleaned from these insanely chic homes are that a good wardrobe deserves an equally stylish closet when not in use, and playing dress-up isn't just child's play. In fact, we'll never give it up.

If you're nodding your head in agreement as you read this, then you'll love our top five celebrity closets. Each has been photographed in exclusive home tours on MyDomaine, but this time we've included the must-have pieces so you can shop and create the stylish looks at home. Each closet has one thing in common: open shelves packed to the brim with well-organized, fashionable clothes, accessories, and our favorite: shoes. Don't say we didn't warn you, because your shopping cart is about to be a lot heavier. Get ready for some serious design envy ahead as you scroll through these trendsetters' digs.

Jaime King's Luxe Closet

Jaime King's custom-made closet gives Carrie Bradshaw's a run for its money. She has a vertical denim bar—need we say more? "I wanted to walk in feeling inspired," she tells MyDomaine, and she definitely accomplished that goal with a little help from California Closets. It almost feels like a cool boutique, the only sad difference being that we couldn't actually shop all of the clothing and accessories.

King explains that the secret to an organized closet is decluttering. "I am very good at purging things. Although, I do have a lot of important archival pieces that some of my favorite designers have given me," she says. This is easier said than done. But don't worry: King offers us a plan we can all get behind. "Have your most ruthless friend come over, have a good mix of music playing, and just purge," she says. "Donate whatever you don't use." This is officially our Friday night plan.

Constance Zimmer's Enviable Closet

It doesn't get much dreamier than Constance Zimmer's home. She tells MyDomaine that each piece she chooses has a strong history, and she "likes to scour websites like One Kings Lane or Chairish for specific things. My favorite finds are vintage, which usually means flea markets and eBay."

While it'd be hard to pick a favorite part of her house, we've narrowed it down to the closet since we love her wardrobe so much. When it comes to style in any capacity, the Entourage and Boston Legal actress knows how to do it. Think vividly colorful rugs, framed artwork, and personalized decorative objects throughout the space. The strongest point of this closet is the open shelving. With a shoe collection like this one, who wouldn't want to put them on display?

Amanda Thomas's Minimalistic Closet

If you've ever seen Amanda Thomas's coveted jewelry designs, you won't be surprised to learn her closet is just as chic. Her accessory line, Luv Aj, is known for reconciling edgy staples with feminine classics, which she captures in her home, too.

Her closet is minimalistic in design while also bringing in some unexpected flair through color choice. We love the light ash-gray floors and white walls. This canvas lets her wardrobe take the spotlight, as it should, and if you weren't already convinced, here's yet another case for open shelving.

Brooklyn Decker's Cozy Closet

Brooklyn Decker knows a thing or two about style. Located in Austin, Texas, her home has an eclectic, ranchy feel to it, but with an It-girl twist. This personality comes through in the closet, as well. The worn leather pouf and traditional armchair give the closet its comfortable necessities while the pretty frames and modern photographs on the wall elevate the space.

Admittedly, our favorite thing about this is the Olympia Le-Tan Dracula clutch propped up on the dresser. Our ultimate dream is to have a library stacked full of these to function as décor while they are out for a spin racking up compliments. Speaking of libraries, that little corner nook by the pillows looks like the perfect retreat to hide in with a good book on a rainy day. Need we go on?

Jacey Duprie's Manicured Closet

If anything will bring out our inner child, it's Jacey Duprie's closet. Even though we expected nothing short of amazing from L.A.'s very own Damsel in Dior, we didn't think we'd need to fight the urge to lock ourselves in this closet for a marathon dress-up session. In fact, it's a miracle we didn't give in to the fantasy.

Take note of the sophisticated, casual gray color palette and Lucite drawer pulls. The hidden vanity is a nice touch, especially with the tufted ottoman tucked into it. This closet was also designed by California Closets, the same talented company behind Jaime King's masterful wardrobe scene.
