This is a rare and highly praised variant of Cryptocoryne originating from Southeast Asia. This aquatic plant is characterized with its narrow leaves, displaying an intense coloration, somewhat similar to Cryptocoryne nurii.

Cryptocoryne albida 'Red' is a rare plant to obtain, which is why it is considered a seasonal item. It has similar growth patterns to other Cryptocoryne species; it's a slow growing plant. However, with nurture and care, it will grow to be aesthetically pleasing and will add more harmony to your aquarium. The fact that it requires low to medium lighting and that CO2 is optional, makes this plant versatile and capable of growing in low tech as well as high tech aquariums.
