The energy was high on the April 30 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark as co-host Mark Consuelos returned to the set fresh off the heels of his Italian soccer team's championship victory.

The celebration after the game was electric, with Consuelos sharing details with the audience and wife, Kelly Ripa, of the emotional high and one unexpected encounter with a fan.

Consuelos described the scene filled with "thousands of fans," many of whom were kept at a distance behind plexiglass barriers. "It gets very dramatic in Italian football," he said, recounting the scene of ecstatic supporters. He continued, "I'm running and the fans, seeing little kids and old guys and fans, people have been watching... and are just so happy to be back in the professional leagues."

In a passionate moment amid the chaos, Consuelos, 53, told of an interaction with a particularly enthusiastic fan. "I see this lady. Let's call her my aunt... maybe someone else's aunt. Not my aunt. Someone else's aunt. And we look at each other and she's so excited. And there's this glass, and we come to the glass, and you know what? I kissed her," he revealed.

Ripa, 53, intrigued by her husband's story, probed for more details, "Do we have footage of this?" While no footage was available, her husband playfully reenacted the encounter, describing how he and the fan exchanged a pointed look before he mimicked a kiss through the glass. "I actually closed my eyes," he confessed, to which Ripa hilariously responded in disbelief, "That doesn't happen. You never close your eyes!"

Consuelos added to the recount, "I closed my eyes and my back foot went up. I laid one on her." Ripa, curious, asked, "With an open mouth?" to which her husband assured, "No, no. It was like a smooch. But it was passionate." Ripa, poking fun at her husband further, then questioned, "Did you have an emotional affair?" Consuelos laughed, clarifying his indiscriminate affection in the heat of the moment, "No. It could have been a guy, by the way. I don't know."
