Attractions in Pello
The magnificent rivers and lakes of Pello provide a great setting for water adventures. Paddle along the clear waterways and stop for a break on the beach at the campfire. The Orhinselänniemi sandbank, located in the midst of Lake Miekojärvi, is a unique natural attraction that was named Finland’s most beautiful natural sand beach in 2007. Among few yearly events, for art lovers, Pello offers an annual OrankiArt art show. It is an environmental art exhibition co-created by several artists. The location of the exhibition is on a wooded ridge near the village of Orajärvi, about 25 km north of the center of Pello.
