Vermetid Snail?

Hello, I've been researching and believe this critter is a vermetid snail growing on my green hammer. Thoughts and recommendations on how to remove is greatly appreciated!

Yep, that's what it is. You can put some glue on the opening to starve it out. Welcome to R2R
