Park Ave. princess-turned-thief Abby (Rachael Taylor), disgraced Miami cop Kate (Annie Ilonzeh) and mysterious street racer Eve (Minka Kelly) form close friendships as they get a second chance at life as detectives in sunny Miami. Critics Consensus

A thoroughly mediocre reboot of a fondly remembered series, this new Charlie's Angels lacks even the camp value needed to make it a guilty pleasure.

StephenPaul C The greatest 8 single season episodes ever!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/05/23 Full Review Audience Member ABC relaunched and then quickly canceled their 2011 modern revival of the ‘70s action series Charlie's Angels. The series follows three young women who have each run afoul of the law but are given a second chance by Charles Townsend, who recruits them for his detective agency to help people who are in trouble. Featuring Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor, and Victor Garber, the cast isn't too bad; though their performances are pretty weak. Either through poor writing or directing, the Angels always seem to be playacting rather than being genuine badass detectives. And their adventures are all rather run-of-the-mill things that every other crime procedural does; kidnappings, drug smuggling, etc., etc. Additionally, the production values and stunt work are all second rate; more on the level of cable television than network. Neither fun nor exciting, Charlie's Angels fails to recapture the spark that the original series had and was axed after only 8 episodes (not all of which aired).
