LEVERKUSEN, Germany — Bayer Leverkusen says striker Joel Pohjanpalo has a broken bone in his right foot and is likely to be sidelined until December.
The Finland forward was injured in practice after returning from the Champions League match in Monaco, a 1-1 draw. Leverkusen says he will be unable to start his rehabilitation for up to six weeks.
Pohjanpalo has scored four goals in four appearances in the Bundesliga. The other four have come from Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez.
