Washington’s train station and premier shopping mall is convenient to many hotels and popular tourist attractions and has the largest parking garage in the city with more than 2,000 parking spaces. Union Station is located north of the Capitol Building and northeast of the National Mall. It is within walking distance to many of the most visited landmarks in the nation's capital. Union Station is the rail station for Amtrak, MARC Train (Maryland Rail Commuter Service) and VRE (Virginia Railway Express). There is also a Washington Metro stop at Union Station. The roads around the station are one way. Read the signs carefully or you may have to circle back to reach the front entrance. The parking garage entrance is located at the east end of the building.
