Asklepieion

Asklepieion

Here we are in one of the most important places on the island of Kos! The archaeological site of Asklepieion is only 3 km from Kos Town.

The Askepieion was founded in the 3rd century BC and found only at the beginning of the 20th century. A unique place, a place that has witnessed some very important events at the center of which was a charismatic character and a source of great knowledge and culture: Hippocrates, a famous Greek doctor, physician, geographer and aphorist. The father of medicine!

This great man founded a medical school and a health center here.

Asklepieion is a truly sacred place. You will have the pleasure of admiring the Propylaea, the rooms for patients, the public baths, the altar of Apollo Kyparissios, the relative temple and finally the two temples of Asclepius; famous figure of Greek mythology, a demigod who later became the god of medicine particularly adored by the people: the name of this spectacular archaeological site is in fact due to this prestigious deity.

Don't miss out on your vacation, a morning at Asklepieion! It has a lot to make you know and we advise you to do it with an expert guide, bookable at the ticket office. The guide is the right person to make you return to the third century BC with imagination and heart! ... only in this way will you fully understand why Hippocrates wanted to build right here at this point, the Asklepieion.

Small curiosity: experts from all over the world come to work on energy and energy levels and here they believe there is a very special and very intense energy (you will be able to understand it better with an expert guide).

The Asklepieion is a highly energetic place, with an intense positive energy that can be perceived even by the less experienced.

Be accompanied on this journey within very special sensations and you will remain of our same idea: UNMISSABLE!
