Grand Bazaar Istanbul

Grand Bazaar Istanbul

About the project

I spent a day with stylist Dilara Kirsanli at the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey. Dilara is a German Turkish stylist based in Istanbul and is the designer / founder of the local fashion brand LEEU. We visited her tailors and explored the area around the Grand Bazaar, an ancient marketplace founded in the 14th century in Istanbul. With her styling, she aims to bring high fashion to the streets of Istanbul, showcasing brands like her own LEEU and local designer TAYFUN KABA in classical, traditional settings like the Grand Bazaar. Her vision is a materialization of her roots, where her love for haute couture from European influence intersects with her Turkish heritage. Carl van der Linde
