MILFORD, Mass. (Gray News) - A Massachusetts man won a $1 million prize while doing a favor for his wife.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Joshua Chunis stopped to get gas for his wife’s car at a gas station in the Worcester area and decided to buy a $20 lottery ticket.

Lottery officials said Chunis’ ticket ended up winning him a $1 million prize from the $10 million Lucky Bucks game.

“Stopped to put gas in his wife’s car and won $1 million! We have heard this scenario a few times now. Guys, take note!” lottery officials shared.

Chunis chose to receive a one-time payment of $650,000. He said he plans to use some of the money to do some work on the house, reports said.

Massachusetts State Lottery officials said there are currently five remaining $1 million prizes and two $10 million jackpots with the Lucky Bucks game.
