Johan Heikinpoika Malkamäki was born April 2, 1801, on the farm Malkamäki, near the village of Topparla, Ylistaro Parish, Finland. He was baptized Apri 5, 1801 by Chaplain Nils Aejmelæus. His parents were Henric Påhlinpoika Hirsimäki (Nov 10 1761) and Anna Hansintytär ?. His godparents were Anders Malkamäki, ? [1]

Johan and brothers Confirmation

Johan was confirmed on Jun 16, 1822 as above. His father had died May 25, 1809 and his mother remarried but died Dec 21, 1821. So the three brothers, the youngest Johan took confirmation together. The first person on the list was from another family.

In 1824 he moved to Okila farm, Topparla village, Ylistaro Parish farm where he was a Renki or farmhand. He stayed there till 1827.

Then in 1827 he moved to the farm Hirvilammi N:38, near the village of Kaukola, Ylistaro Parish where he was a Renki or farmhand. This is where is future wife lived.

Johan Heikinpoika Malkamäki married Sanna Henrikintytär Hirvilammi March 29, 1828. The ceremony was performed by Chaplain Karl Fredrik Lilius. He adopted Johan born Feb 8, 1827 to Sanna as an unwed birth.[6]

Anna Lisa was born Dec 11, 1828 on the farm Hirvilammi and was baptized Dec 14, 1828 by Chaplian Karl Fredrik Lilius. [7]

A son Jacob was born Dec 22, 1831 on the farm Hirvilammi and was baptized Dec 28, 1831 by Chaplian Karl Fredrik Lilius. [8]

A daughter Sanna was born Dec 20, 1834 on the farm Hirvilammi and was baptized Dec 21, 1834 by Chaplian's assistant Johan Grönström. [9]

In 1838 the family moved to Wästila Torppa, near the village of Kaukola.

A son Isak was born May 16, 1841 on the Wästila Torppa and was baptized May 20, 1841 by one of the three Pastor Lilius at the time. [10]

A son Esajas was born Feb 22, 1844 on the Wästila Torppa and was baptized Feb 23, 1844 by one of the three Pastor Lilius in Ylistaro at the time. [11]. He died March 1, 1844, the cause of death was ei mainittu, not given or not reported.

A son Herman was born June 16, 1846 on the on the Wästila Torppa and was baptized June 16, 1846 by one of the two Lilius Pastors active that time.

Aug 23, 1865 Tax Roll

Above is the recording of the tax takers for 1865. On the right the parents are noted as husband and wife freed from paying capitation.

Johan died Sep 1, 1865, 9 days after tax time, on the Torppa Wästilä, near the village of Kaukola, Ylistaro Parish, of vatsanväänteet, stomach complaint. He was buried Sep 3, 1865 and was 64 years, 4 months, 27 days old.[13]

Sanna the wife was still alive in 1885, not paying tax and living on the Torppa Wästilä, near the village of Kaukola, Ylistaro Parish.

Sanna died Dec 30, 1887 of halvaus, stroke on the Torppa Wästilä, near the village of Kaukola, Ylistaro Parish. She was buried Jun 6, 1888 and was 86 years, 1 month, 1 day old,
