ICYMI, Spanish model and actress Elsa Pataky is talented, gorgeous, and a super badass mom. But you know what else? Elsa is pretty much a workout fiend, too. She and Chris Hemsworth, her dreamy husband of 10 years, looove a good sweat sesh, and they're always posting about exercising on their respective feeds. And TBH, all of Elsa’s hard work in the gym definitely shows. She’s currently 44, but it looks like she literally hasn't aged since her 20's. TLDR; we need the details of her fitness routines, workouts, and general healthy habits, stat.

Lucky for us, Elsa isn’t shy about sharing allll about her workouts with the world. Not only does she feature tons of fitness posts on her Instagram grid, but she even published a book detailing exactly how she gets (and maintains) her super strong, toned AF bod last November. Specifically, her routine includes a little bit of everything: There’s glute work, yoga, boxing, beach workouts, horseback riding, and more.

Now that you know Elsa is a freakin’ beast in and outside the gym, keep reading for the nitty gritty details of her workout routine and more. A major bonus? Many of these workouts are totally quarantine-friendly, so you can do them just about anywhere. If you're someone who's looking for some inspo, you definitely won’t regret it.

She's all about building muscle.

When she was younger, Elsa had a true *fear* of building too much muscle, she told Body and Soul. At first, she thought that putting on weight from building muscle was a bad thing. She later realized that the muscles were truly making her a healthier (and stronger!) human, she told the mag. Here's the entirety of her glute-building workout, according to her IG videos.

Single leg glute raise, 20 seconds each leg

Dumbbell good mornings, 20 seconds

Dumbbell lunges, 20 seconds each leg

TRX squat jumps, 40 seconds

Exercise ball hamstring rollouts, 40 seconds

Banded walking squats, 20 seconds each way

Banded glute kickbacks, 20 seconds each leg

Repeat for 4 rounds, 20 seconds rest between rounds.

She literally created her own fitness app.

Because of their shared love for fitness, Elsa and Chris literally created their own workout app called Centr Fit. "The reason we created this program was to bring together all the people we think are really good in fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness," Elsa told Women's Health UK. "I think those three things are important to keep healthy and happy. Chris put it together, but I wanted to be a part of it, too." Noted! Here, she demos a quick beach, bodyweight workout from the app that includes walking lunges, bear crawls, ab swings, and squats.

Elsa uses yoga to stretch her muscles

"I discovered yoga, and I discovered how to stretch the muscle and make it more beautiful," Elsa told Body and Soul. She said this combination of creating muscles with weights and then "styling" muscles by elongating them with yoga was perfect for her. Now, she's definitely what we'd call an avid yogi.

And FYI, her workout schedule looks like this: weight training three days per week for an intense 30 minutes, and then one or two yoga sessions per week, according to an interview with Women's Health Australia. She's been a practicing yogi for over eight years.

Boxing is definitely in her wheelhouse.

Thanks to her IG feed, we see that Elsa incorporates both cardio and strength training into her workout routine by boxing on the reg. In one Instagram post she even squeezed in a training sesh with her longtime friend (and former Olympic boxer!) Jorge Blanco.

5

She's been abs training from a young age.

Inspired by the killer abs of the Olympic gymnasts and runners she saw on TV, Elsa started training her core from a super young age. "I loved their abs!" she told Body and Soul. "So I just wanted to have a body like that. And I liked sports... and so then I started training and my goal was to have abs!" She said from there, she became "obsessed" with abs workouts.

6

She loves surfing and being in the water.

On days she doesn't feel like doing weights or cardio, Elsa will take to the ocean for surfing, she told Marie Claire UK. She notes that even if she's not up for a traditional workout, she always tries to move her body in some way, like with surfing, at the very least.

Horseback riding is kind of her thing.

"Horse riding is probably my favorite [activity]," Elsa told Marie Claire UK. "I love surfing, too, but I’ve been horse riding since I was really young. It gives me that focus and I really enjoy the adrenaline because with a horse, it doesn’t all depend on you." If you take a look at her IG feed, you'll see that Elsa horseback rides all the dang time, and has even gotten her kiddos to love the activity, too.

8

She's so consistent about her workouts.

Elsa literally can't *not* workout for more than two weeks at a time. She says that taking too long of breaks not only makes her energy go down, but it also causes her to get super nervous. That's why she stays so consistent, she told Women's Health UK—it's vital toward her mental health.

9

She prioritizes meditation, too.

"I think mindfulness is one of the most important things for your body and being healthy," Elsa told Marie Claire UK when asked about her meditation routine. "I think it’s good to do it as often as you can, even for just 10 minutes. I’ll do it at least three times a week." She said she'll meditate both in the morning and at night, before the kids wake up and after she puts them to bed.

She sticks to a.m. workouts.

"I prefer to work out in the morning," Elsa told Marie Claire UK. "I usually take the kids to school and do some exercise. I’ll go to the gym or go outside." Something about getting her workout in at the start of the day gives her the energy to keep powering through until nighttime.
