The internet spawning an endless amount of trolls is nothing new. And those trolls picking a woman's social media to spew their hateful diatribe upon, well, that's even less surprising. Today, the recipient is former WH cover star, Kate Beckinsale.
Posting a picture to her Instagram grid, the 50-year-old actor, found the comment section littered with claims that she's a) not as tall as she's making herself seem and b) most definitely had plastic surgery. Boundaries, on social media? Non-existent.
"[D]o you have nose job? if you mind me asking," commented one Instagram user. "nope but again thanks so much for asking," she replied.
Another felt the urge to comment on Kate's dating history. Specifically, her rumoured involvements with Goody Grace and Pete Davidson, writing "Get a man your own age Kate," followed by a heart emoji. In a perfect response, Kate wrote, "don't want a man at all thanks".
The pictures, which appear to have a filter applied to them, show Kate in a very sweet black bikini, accessorised with sweet mint green flowers. And, of course, there were positive comments to drown out the cacophony of intrusive, assumptions thrown her way.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: HER!!" Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause claimed in all caps lock. "Still the most beautiful woman in the world 😍🔥👏🙌" said another.
