"Unless the signal is terrible, he is right there, snoring on that pillow," McCarthy told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager

Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg always find a way to fall asleep together — even when they’re physically apart.

On Tuesday’s episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna, the 50-year-old Masked Singer judge discussed how she and Wahlberg, 54, remain in the “honeymoon phase” even after nine years of marriage. Co-host Hoda Kotb reminded McCarthy that the last time she was on the show, she said she and her husband couldn’t keep their “hands off of each other.” According to McCarthy, that hasn’t changed.

“Still the honeymoon phase,” she said. “Honestly, I swear to God, you can ask anyone we know. We FaceTime 10 times a day. We’ll FaceTime sleep next to each other.”

When Jenna Bush Hager asked McCarthy if that meant she and the New Kids on the Block alum left their phones on all night, she responded, “Yeah. All night long.”

She continued, “Every night — unless the signal is terrible, he is right there, snoring on that pillow.”

In addition to ensuring they’re next to each other even when they’re traveling apart, the Scream 3 actress also shared her tips on how she and Wahlberg keep their relationship alive. “We’ve done the work, and we date,” she said. “We do fun things together, we find that private time to have that fun.”

She went on to add that communication is key. “Sometimes it’s about shutting off the TV at night and just talking,” she told Kotb, 59, and Bush Hager, 41.

The couple has renewed their vows every year since their wedding. In August 2022, Wahlberg shared a video on Instagram of their eighth anniversary renewal service alongside a special caption dedicated to his wife.

“Some people ask 'why do you renew your vows every year?'" he wrote. "Those tend to be the same people that also ask 'how do you keep your marriage so new?'"

Wahlberg wrote to McCarthy: “I’m so blessed to call you my wife, and so honored to be your husband. I thank god every day for you, and I thank you always for 'taking care of my heart' — as promised. I love you. On to forever.”
