A woman and a man died in a double shooting incident on Tuesday in the North Karelia town of Kitee, police say.
Emergency services received reports of two shots being fired and a woman screaming at half past seven on Tuesday night.
Arriving at the scene in Ruppovaara, just outside the town, police units discovered the body of a woman in the front garden of a detached house. When searching inside the house, they then discovered the body of a man.
Police say they do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident. A technical investigation began on Tuesday night and was expected to be finished by Wednesday morning.
